66ers Name Joe Hudson New GM

Inland Empire Announces that former Assistant General Manager will take the reigns as new General Manager

San Bernardino, CA- The Inland Empire 66ers today announced that Joe Hudson has been named the organization's new General Manager. For the past two seasons, the team has operated with two Assistant General Managers. Hudson, who has been a part of the 66ers organization since 2001, is thrilled to take on the role.

"I am extremely excited and honored at the opportunity given to me by Dave (Elmore) and Donna (Tuttle)," stated Hudson. "I am a native of San Bernardino and grew up watching the Spirit. Because of my roots, I know how important baseball is to the community and take a tremendous amount of pride in this organization and what it stands for and very much appreciate the tremendous support we receive here in the Inland Empire."

Hudson has been a part of the Elmore Sports Group for 11 seasons, which included two summers with the Helena Brewers and a year with the Utah Grizzlies. In 2007, he returned to the 66ers working in the food and beverage side of the organization. In 2010, Joe was name Assistant General Manager. Joe attended both the University of Utah and UC Riverside. Hudson resides in Yucaipa, along with his wife Sarah.

"After 11 years of having Joe as a member of the 66ers family we are very excited to now have him as the new General Manager of the 66ers," said 66ers owner Dave Elmore. "His knowledge of San Bernardino, tireless passion for the success of this team and commitment to this community make him uniquely qualified to lead this organization into what we feel confident will be a very bright future."

The 2013 season will kick off on Thursday April 4, 2013 at San Manuel Stadium when the 66ers take on the Modesto Nuts.
