A message from MiLB President O'Conner

Hello Fans:

With Old Man Winter behind us and the last of the "polar vortex" passed, we are excited for this week of all weeks. Opening Week 2014!! Where hope springs eternal and the crack of the bat and roar of the crowds are set to resume. Our 11 full-season leagues have worked hard all offseason for this week and I know all of our fans are ready for another fun season of fan-friendly, affordable family entertainment ... Minor League Baseball style.

Minor League Baseball is deeply rooted in each of our 160 communities across North America. With the beginning of the 2014 season, we will once again be there as a great neighbor, business partner and corporate citizen. Minor League Baseball takes its place in your community seriously. As one of the nation's greatest social institutions, we continue to provide meaningful employment, improved quality of life and the American Pastime to our host cities. We do this enthusiastically and with great pride.

I hope each of you will have the opportunity to enjoy a game with your hometown team often this season.
