All-Star Tickets on Sale Feb. 14

Louisville, KY - Ticket packages for the 2008 Meijer Triple-A All-Star Game at Louisville Slugger Field will go on sale to the general public Thursday, February 14 at 10 a.m. The Triple-A All-Star Game features the top players from Minor League Baseball's top two circuits, the International League and the Pacific Coast League. Major League stars who have played in past Triple-A All-Star Games include Chipper Jones, Mike Piazza, Pedro Martinez, Jim Thome, Derek Jeter, Justin Morneau and Adam Dunn.

The 2008 contest will mark the second time the Triple-A All-Star Game will be played in Louisville. In 1991, the National League affiliates defeated the American League affiliates 3-1 before a crowd of over 20,000 at Cardinal Stadium. Louisville will become the first International League city to host the event twice.

Included in the All-Star festivities will be three events: Rally's FanFest from July 13-15, Papa John's Home Run Derby on July 14 and the Meijer Triple-A All-Star Game on July 16.

Rally's FanFest will be held at the Kentucky International Convention Center from July 13-15 and will feature 50,000 square feet of interactive entertainment for adults and kids. Player autograph and photograph sessions will be available. The Papa John's Home Run Derby begins July 14 at 7:00 p.m. and will feature hitters from both leagues competing against each other at Louisville Slugger Field. On Wednesday, July 16 the top stars from the International League and the Pacific Coast League will compete in the nationally televised Meijer All-Star Game.

Ticket packages include all three events and range in price from $36-$48. Tickets may be purchased at ticketmaster.com, Ticketmaster Charge-By-Phone (361-3100), Ticketmaster Ticket Centers and at the Louisville Slugger Field box office located in the West Hall of Fame. Regular box office hours will be Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The Ticketmaster ticket centers are located at all Kroger Supermarket locations.

Single game tickets for the 2008 season, along with tickets for Thunder Over Louisville, will go on sale to the general public Tuesday, March 4 at 10 a.m. Full and partial season ticket packages are currently available for purchase.
