April 23, 2012
LAKEWOOD, NJ - The BlueClaws, BlueClaws Charities, TGI Friday's of Brick and the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia are proud to partner in the 12th annual ALS Celebrity Waiter Event on May 23rd, held for the first time at TGI Friday's in Brick.

The annual event raises money for the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia, the principal charity of the Philadelphia Phillies, and has brought over $110,000 to the organization in the event's first 11 years.

BlueClaws players will serve as servers and hosts while coaches, including first-year Lakewood manager and former Phillies second baseman Mickey Morandini, will serve as bartender helpers.

"We're thrilled to partner with TGI Friday's in Brick on what should be another great event," said BlueClaws General Manager Geoff Brown. "This has been a staple event for BlueClaws Charities over the last decade and we're looking forward to returning the event to a BlueClaws corporate partner."

There will be two dinner seatings: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm and 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm. Fans can reserve a table by calling TGI Friday's directly at 732-262-0937.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia, including 15% of every dinner bill (excluding alcohol) from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and all tips from dinner bills during the same three hour period.

In addition, there will be a bartender competition & gift auction beginning at approximately 8:00 pm, from which all proceeds will be donated to the ALS Association of Greater Philadelphia. Companies wishing to donate items for the gift auction can do so by contacting TGI Friday's of Brick at the number above.

"When we first heard about the possibility of this event coming to TGI Friday's in Brick, we were immediately excited," said Suzanne Bimonte, General Manager. "The BlueClaws are great partners of ours and we hope to raise a great deal of money for a wonderful cause."

BlueClaws Charities, the official non-profit foundation of the Lakewood BlueClaws, is a 501c3 organization that has donated over $400,000 in the last three years to area non-profit organizations and fundraising events.
