Another night, another win for Ranaudo

At this point, it shouldn't come as a surprise to see the "W" next to Anthony Ranaudo's name in the box score.

The Red Sox's No. 8 prospect allowed three hits over six scoreless innings to win his seventh straight decision Friday night as Triple-A Pawtucket rolled past Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, 10-2.

Ranaudo (12-4) struck out four and walked two in his 21st start for the Red Sox. He threw 60 of 98 pitches for strikes, facing five batters over the minimum.

The 24-year-old right-hander is unbeaten since June 1, compiling a 1.65 ERA in his last nine starts. Overall, he leads the International League with 12 wins and trails only Buffalo's Liam Hendriks with a 2.40 ERA. The LSU product is tied for sixth with 99 strikeouts.

Friday's win also was the 10th straight for Pawtucket, eclipsing the club record. Ranaudo has picked up two victories during the streak.

MLB.com's No. 89 overall prospect was staked to an early lead, with the Red Sox scoring eight runs in the fourth to open a 10-0 cushion.

Mookie Betts collected four hits and scored twice for the PawSox. Since returning from a stint in the Majors, Boston's fifth-ranked prospect is batting .370 (10-for-27) in six games.

Veteran Ryan Roberts slugged a three-run homer, while Red Sox No. 13 prospect Deven Marrero doubled and drove in two runs.

RailRiders starter Matt Tracy fell to 1-3 after surrendering six runs -- two earned -- on six hits and three walks in 3 2/3 innings. He fanned four.
