Playoff Tickets, Game-Worn Jerseys Available for Purchase
August 24, 2012

Greeneville, TN - The Greeneville Astros have announced a schedule of Fan Appreciation events for their final homestand as well as procedures to purchase potential playoff tickets as they near the end of their ninth season at Pioneer Park. The team is chasing a spot in the Appalachian League playoffs while visiting the Danville Braves through Saturday before returning home for a final three-game series against the Bluefield Blue Jays beginning on Sunday, August 26 and concluding with the season finale on Tuesday, August 28.

"We are very excited to offer our fans and season ticket holders these unique opportunities over our final three games," said General Manager David Lane. "We really appreciate all the Astros fans that have supported our club and really been a part of the team over our first nine seasons here in Greeneville."

Game-Worn Jerseys Available

For the first time ever, fans will have the opportunity to purchase both the home and road game-worn jerseys of the Greeneville Astros. There will be a three-day silent auction featuring every game jersey worn by a member of the 2012 team. Furthermore, because some jerseys are re-used from year to year, select jerseys of past players may also be available.

The first opportunity to place a bid on the jerseys will begin when the gates open at 5:00pm on Sunday, August 26 and the silent auction will continue over the next two games until the end of the seventh inning on Tuesday, August 28.

Bidding for each jersey will begin at $75, but a special "Buy it now" option will also be available. For fans unable to make it to the game, bids by phone may be taken until 5:00pm on each day of the event by calling (423) 638-0411.

Youth and senior discounts for general admission will apply.

Season ticket holders will have the first opportunity to purchase their current seat location for postseason baseball. However, payment must be made by Monday at 5:00pm in order to guarantee their seats. After that time, all tickets will be released and available to the general public.
