Drive alum made his big league debut in 2012 with Boston
November 16, 2012
Former Drive outfielder Che-Hsuan Lin has spent the last six seasons in the Red Sox organization, but he will have a new home in 2013, as he was claimed on waivers by the Houston Astros last week.

The 24-year old made his major league debut with the Red Sox this season, going 3-12 at the plate in nine games. He spent a majority of the 2012 campaign in AAA with Pawtucket, where he hit .247 in 113 games. He compiled 98 hits and scored 42 runs to go along with a pair of homers, 30 runs batted in and 15 stolen bases.

Lin spent the 2008 season in Greenville and held his own at the age of 19. For the season, despite hitting just .249, he posted a .342 on-base percentage while collecting 90 hits, five home runs, 37 RBI and swiping 33 bases. The highlight of his season was being selected to the Futures Game at Yankee Stadium, where he went 2-2 with a two-run homer and was selected the game's most valuable player.
