Javier Baez (CHC No. 1): Batting ninth and playing shortstop, MLB.com's 16 overall prospect slugged a two-run homer -- his first of the spring -- in a Cactus League loss to Milwaukee. Baez, the ninth pick in the 2011 Draft also drew a bases-loaded walk for his third RBI of the day.

Martin Perez (TEX No. 6): Perez will be sidelined for at least two months after breaking his left arm Sunday. After issuing walks to Mike Zunino and Brendan Ryan to open the sixth inning, Perez was hit above the wrist by a comebacker off the bat of Brad Miller. Perez, who set down the Mariners in order in the fifth, was taken to a local hospital where X-rays revealed a fracture of the ulna bone in his forearm. The injury takes him out of the competition to be the Rangers' fifth starter.
