Bats Take Down PawSox, 5-1

The Louisville Bats defeated the Pawtucket Red Sox 5-1 on Friday afternoon in spring training baseball.

Phil Dumatrait started for Louisville, going four innings, allowing one run on three hits while striking out six. Calvin Medlock threw two scoreless innings, while Mike Bumatay, Ricky Stone and Brian Shackelford eached tossed a scoreless inning of relief.

Danny Dorn was 3-for-3 with three rbi to pace the Bats offense. Aaron Herr added a solo home run and Jeff Bannon was 2-for-3 with two runs scored and two stolen bases.

Louisville will take on the Indianapolis Indians Saturday at the Reds Minor League complex in Sarasota beginning at 1:00pm.
