Bawcom Promoted to Rancho Cucamonga

MIDLAND, Mich. - Loons right-handed pitcher Logan Bawcom has been promoted by the Dodgers to the High-A Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. Righty Scott McGough has been added to the roster from Ogden.

Bawcom did not allow a run in his last eight appearances (10 2/3 IP) and had an overall scoreless streak of 11 1/3 innings. He allowed one earned run in his last 16 appearances (18 2/3 IP, 0.48 ERA). Overall, Bawcom was 4-1 with a 2.78 ERA and 14 saves. In 45 1/3 innings, Bawcom struck out 56.

In six appearances this year for Ogden, McGough was 1-1 with 2 saves and a 4.76 ERA with eight strikeouts and no walks in 5 2/3 innings. In his last three appearances, McGough did not allow a run, allowing 1 hit, no walks with 7 strikeouts in 3 innings. During that time he recorded two saves and one win. He was a fifth-round draft choice by the Dodgers (164th overall) in this year’s draft out of the University of Oregon.
