St. Lucie probably wishes it could have Jason Bay in the lineup for the rest of the season.

Bay was 4-for-4 with two homers and four RBIs as the Class A Advanced Mets routed the Fort Myers Miracle, 11-2, on Tuesday.

Bay, who hit third in the lineup, opened the scoring for St. Lucie, going yard with a man on and one out in the first inning. The Canadian-born outfielder went yard two frames later with one on, and later scored in the eighth after singling. Bay is batting .556 in three appearances in the Florida State League.

Bay has yet to play a big league game this season due to a strained rib cage. After signing a four-year deal in December 2009, the 32-year-old Gonzaga product had his inaugural season in Citi Field cut short in late July after suffering a concussion. Bay, who will make one more start for St. Lucie on Wednesday, was batting was batting .259 with six homers and 47 RBIs before the injury.

Ronny Paulino, on a rehab stint after being diagnosed with anemia in Spring Training, was 2-for-5 with a double and drove in a run. Fifth-rounder Matt Den Dekker had three hits and scored three times, while top prospect Wilmer Flores doubled and drove in a run on a sacrifice fly.

Former first-rounder Aaron Hicks, MLB.com's No. 39 prospect, was 2-for-5 with a triple and a run scored for Fort Myers.
