PEARL, Miss. (April 19, 2017) - The Mobile BayBears, the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, came from behind to win for the second time in the series, defeating the Mississippi Braves 5-1 Wednesday at Trustmark Park.

The BayBears (5-8) trailed 1-0 after five innings but scored two in the sixth and three more in the ninth. Zach Houchins extended his hit streak to nine games with a game-tying single, scoring Bo Way. Way went 3-for-4, his first three-hit game of the year, with a pair of runs scored.

Luis Diaz (2-0) gave up an unearned run in the third, his first allowed this season, but he has now pitched 17 innings without giving up an earned run. Diaz earned his second win of the year, recording six strikeouts in five innings pitched.

Eric Karch and Justin Anderson combined to keep the Braves (7-6) off the board for the final four frames. Anderson notched the save in his Double-A debut. Mississippi went just 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position and left nine men on base.

Mobile's bats were kept quiet by Braves starter Matt Withrow, who pitched five scoreless innings, gave up just two hits, and struck out five. Withrow exited with a 1-0 lead, but Mississippi's bullpen gave up five runs on nine hits in four innings of work.
