May 25, 2012
There are only 47 days until the 25th Annual Triple-A All-Star Game at Coca-Cola Field, presented by New Era Cap Company and The Buffalo News on Wednesday, July 11. With excitement building for the return of the game to Buffalo, NY, the Bisons today made several announcements concerning All-Star festivities that the baseball fans of Western New York are sure to enjoy.

Time is running out to be a part of the All-Star experience
The Bisons announced that there are fewer than 7,000 tickets remaining for the 25th Annual Triple-A All-Star Game. The tickets remaining are all in the reserved seating sections as there are no party areas or luxury suites available for neither the All-Star Game nor the Home Run Derby.

Additionally, there are no more tickets available for either the Triple-A All-Star Gala, presented by AMI Graphics, or the Triple-A All-Star Luncheon featuring Tom Seaver, presented by Paddock Chevrolet. There are approximately 8,500 tickets remaining for the Triple-A Home Run Derby on Monday, July 9.

Don't miss out
With less than 7,000 tickets remaining for the All-Star Game, fans are encouraged to secure their spot soon for All-Star Week in Buffalo. Individual seat tickets for the Triple-A All-Star Game ($25) and the Triple-A Home Run Derby ($15) can be purchased on Bisons.com or by calling THE-HERD (716-843-4373).

Fans can still save $5 per ticket with the purchase of a Group Outing of 20 or more people. The All-Star Ticket Pack with a ticket to both the All-Star Game and the Home Run Derby is still available for $35 (savings of $5).

There are also a limited number of spots remaining for a special All-You-Can-Eat Home Run Derby Pavilion Party. For only $30, fans will receive a ticket to the Home Run Derby and an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet for two hours in the Coca-Cola Field pavilion area. Fans that already have a ticket to the Home Run Derby can upgrade their ticket for $20. This package can be ordered by calling THE-HERD (716-843-4373).

Local celebrities join in on Home Run Derby
On Monday, July 9 (7 p.m.) -- two days before the Triple-A All-Star Game -- the Bisons will host the Triple-A All-Star Home Run Derby, presented by Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel, at Coca-Cola Field. Three sluggers from the International League and three from the Pacific Coast League will compete to find one Home Run King of Triple-A baseball.

The Bisons have added a Celebrity Home Run Derby that will take place between rounds of the All-Star Derby. Already scheduled to appear for the event are Hall of Fame Buffalo Bills quarterback, Jim Kelly, Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson, Buffalo Bills chief executive officer and St. John Fisher College Hall of Fame baseball player Russ Brandon, New England Patriots tight end and Amherst, N.Y. native Rob Gronkowski, and writer, actor, sportscaster and Buffalo, N.Y. native, Nick Bakay. More celebrities are expected to be added in the coming days.

The Home Run Derby will also feature an appearance by The Famous Chicken, as the world's most famous mascot will bring his fowl antics in between rounds. Tickets for the Home Run Derby are only $15 and available on Bisons.com or by calling THE-HERD (716) 843-4373.

Youth teams can be HR Derby 'Subway Shaggers' while fundraising
Here's a great chance for kids to get on the field for the Triple-A Home Run Derby while fundraising for their own local teams. The Bisons have teamed up with Subway for a "Subway Shagger Lottery." Local youth teams can sell tickets to both the Triple-A Home Run Derby and the Triple-A All-Star Game with a part of the proceeds going right back into their league. For every 30 tickets sold, the team receives an entry in a lottery with two teams being chosen to be Subway Shaggers at the Triple-A Home Run Derby. Interested teams should visit Bisons.com or call THE-HERD (716-843-4373) to get involved.
