Bisons Top Indians, 2-1

Stoner was fantastic in his longest outing as a Bison. He worked eight innings, allowing just one run on four hits. He didn't walk anyone and collected a season-high seven strikeouts.

Stoner's outing was even more dominate once he settled down from a rough start. He allowed a home run to Brian Bixler and then a double to Lasting Milledge to start the game. But after getting out of the first inning without any further damage, he allowed just two singles over the next seven innings.

Indy made things interested in the ninth inning by loading the bases with two outs. However, Javier Castillo's bare-handed pick and throw of a Chris Barnwell slow roller sealed the victory for Buffalo.

Tim McNab kept the Indians off the scoreboard in the ninth for his second save of the season.

The Herd scored solo runs in the first and third inning to give Stoner all the offense he would need. Nick Evans' came through with a two-out RBI single to get the Bisons on the board. The slugger has now hit in all seven games of Buffalo's current roadtrip.

After Indianapolis tied the score, Mike Lamb gave the Bisons a 2-1 advantage. He singled home Andy Green with one of his three hits on the day.

The Bisons outhit the Indians 10-7 in the victory. Jesus Feliciano also had three hits, raising his team-high batting average to .310.

Buffalo will close out the eight-game roadtrip on Monday at 7:00 p.m. With a victory over the Indians, the Herd would earn a 4-4 split of the trip.
