Bour named to Postseason All-Star Team

Infielder leads Southern League with 110 RBIs during 2012 campaign

KODAK, Tenn. - Tennessee Smokies first baseman Justin Bour has been named to the Southern League Postseason All-Star Team Friday, as announced by the Southern League of Professional Baseball Clubs. Bour is part of a group of 15 players given the award, which is voted upon by the league's field managers, radio broadcasters and print media.

Bour, 24, has been stellar in his first season as a Double-A first baseman. He currently leads the Smokies in batting average (.290), hits (141), doubles (36), home runs (17) and RBIs (110), which leads the Southern League. His banner year has also included a Southern League "Player of the Week" award (July 30 - August 6) and a start on the North team in the Southern League All-Star Game. The Centreville, Va. native was selected by the Cubs in the 25th round of the 2009 draft out of George Mason University.
