Bulls' Odorizzi fans season-high 11

Jake Odorizzi recorded a season-high 11 strikeouts over eight innings Saturday as Durham blanked visiting Norfolk, 3-0. The Rays' No. 2 prospect allowed three hits and fell two punchouts shy of the career high he established in 2011 in the Royals organization. He improved to 9-6 and lowered his ERA to 3.33 in 22 Triple-A starts.

Knuckleballer Eddie Gamboa took the loss for the Tides after giving up three runs -- two earned -- on three hits over 5 1/3 innings.

Sean Nolin gave up five hits over 6 2/3 innings in his second Triple-A start, pitching Buffalo past Lehigh Valley, 2-0. Toronto's fifth-ranked prospect walked three and struck out four, improving to 1-1 with a 1.50 ERA in the International League.

Andy LaRoche paced the Bisons with three hits, including a pair of doubles, and a run scored. Ryan Langerhans and Blake Gailen each pitched in two hits.

Billy Hamilton singled in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth inning as Louisville edged Toledo, 4-3. The Reds' top prospect finished 2-for-5 with a double and a run scored.

Neftali Soto hit a two-run homer and No. 11 prospect Henry Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with a double for the Bats. For Toledo, Jordan Lennerton hit his 17th homer, a two-run shot in the seventh.

Mike Olt went 4-for-4, belting his 14th homer and finishing a triple shy of the cycle, as Iowa beat Memphis, 8-5. The outburst snapped the Cubs' No. 5 prospect out of a 2-for-30 slump.

Dave Sappelt and Brad Nelson each had two hits and two RBIs for the I-Cubs, while Tim Torres was 2-for-4 with an RI and a run scored.

Greg Garcia was 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Redbirds.

George Springer stole his 42nd base of the season and 19th in the Pacific Coast League as Oklahoma City topped Round Rock, 6-3. The Astros' third-ranked prospect went 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Astros No. 2 prospect Jonathan Singleton went 2-for-5 with a run scored to raise his average to .215. Jim Adduci had two hits, including his 15th homer, Mike Bianucci and Brendan Harris also went yard for the Express.

Luis Jimenez collected three hits, including his fourth homer, and three RBIs to lead Salt Lake past Reno, 7-2. The Angels' No. 11 prospect also scored twice.

Matt Long homered, doubled, singled, drove in three runs and scored three times for the Bees, who also got three hits apiece from Tommy Field and Andy Marte.
