(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, the Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, will be announcing its complete 2012 promotional schedule this week. Today the promotional giveaways will be highlighted.
The Captains will offer many premium giveaways beginning on Opening Night, Thursday April 12 when the first 1,500 fans will receive a 10th Anniversary Lithograph and all fans will receive a magnet schedule courtesy of PNC. The giveaways are part of the Captains Tenth Anniversary Opening Night Celebration.
Lake Health will sponsor a Captains T-Shirt giveaway to the first 1,500 fans on Saturday, May 19. This premium item is the featured giveaway of Racing Weekend.
Father's Day is Sunday, June 17 and the first 1,000 adult men will receive a Sleeve of Captains Logo Golf Balls, courtesy of Lake Health. There will also be a special ticket package offered on this date that will allow fathers and kids the opportunity to play catch on the field prior to the game.
On Saturday, July 14, a Skipper Rock-N-Bobble doll, featuring the mascot playing an electric guitar and paying tribute to an inductee in this year's class of Rock N Roll Hall of Fame musicians, will be given to the first 1,500 fans compliments of Sysco. This bobblehead will be part of Rock 'N Roll weekend at the ballpark on July 13 and 14. This is the third annual "Rockin' Skipper" bobble doll in a series of bobbles where Skipper is featured playing a musical instrument.
The Captains will celebrate Christmas in July on Friday, July 27, with a bobblehead, from Lake Health, featuring Skipper wearing "Pink Nightmare" pajamas to pay homage to The Christmas Story house located in Cleveland. The giveaway is the third in the series of the "Captains Story" series of dolls that the Captains introduced in 2010. Last year's doll featured Skipper stuck to the foul pole while the first doll in 2010 was a Skipper Leg Bobble Lamp. The first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive this giveaway.
Stanley Steemer will present their annual youth replica jerseys, featuring the Captains home jerseys to the first 1,000 kids 12 and under through the gates on Friday, August 10.
Go Green Night is Saturday, August 18 and the first 1,500 fans will receive a Captains Travel Mug, made with recycled materials, presented by the Lake County Solid Waste District.
The final giveaway on Friday, August 24 will be the ever popular Fleece Blanket courtesy of Lake Health. The first 1,500 fans will receive the blanket highlighting the Captains' Tenth Anniversary Logo.
