Captains Return Home on April 30 for Seven-Game Homestand

(Eastlake, OH) - The Lake County Captains, Class A affiliate of the Cleveland Indians, return home for a seven-game homestand beginning Friday against the Great Lakes Loons, an affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Captains will face the Loons for four games and then the Dayton Dragons, an affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, will make their Classic Park debut.

Friday's game will feature Garden Club Night and Hairstyle Appreciation Night. Garden Club Night will pin different garden clubs against each other with a "Baseball Themed Floral Arrangement" Contest. Clubs will also plant several flowers that will be put on display in front of the Classic Park entrance gates all season long.

Hairstyle Appreciation Night will pay homage to all facets of hair. Barbers will be on hand to cut hair during the game with all tips received contributed to Locks for Love. The Captains player with the best mullet head shot on the video board will have $50 donated to Locks For Love in their name. The Captains will host several contests including: Best Hairstyle, Craziest Hairstyle, Best Wig and the inaugural Wig Relay. There will also be color hair spraying for the kids and many different movie and photo clips to honor hair on this evening. Game time is 6:30 PM.

Saturday's game begins at 1:00 PM and the first 1,000 kids through the turnstiles will receive a custom-made Captains comic book, presented by Comic Heaven and Laronge Wagner Realty. In addition, the first 1,000 fans 18 and over who bring their non-winning Ohio Lottery tickets to the park will receive prizes from the Ohio Lottery and the Captains. Fans can also win tickets for the "Road to the Ohio Cup" games between the Reds and the Indians at Progressive Field May 21 and 22.

Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM is Family Fun Sunday presented by Andrews Osborne Academy, featuring a pre-game player autograph session, lots of concourse entertainment and the opportunity for kids to run the bases after the game. In addition, kids who are part of Skipper's Lil' Buddies Club will have the opportunity to announce players over the public address system and sit in the radio booth during the game, plus other activities. It is also the second Education Day of the year where there will be special educational activities in the concourse for kids of all ages to participate in.

Monday is PNC Buck Night which features 50-cent hot dogs and a $1 concession menu that includes fries, popcorn, onion rings, fountain soda and ten oz. domestic draft beer. Game time is 6:30 PM.

Tuesday is Two-for-Tuesday and Kids Eat Free. Kids 12 and under with a paid admission receive a voucher for a free hot dog, fries and soda when they enter Classic Park. The Captains will offer a buy-one-get-one free special on hot dogs, fries, onion rings, chips, soft pretzels and popcorn. Wednesday, May 5 is "Feed Your Face" night and Cinco de Mayo. For only $18, fans receive a game ticket and all-you-can-eat hot dogs, fries, onion rings, popcorn and chips. There will also be a in-game specials on Corona Beer at the Corona's Castaways Bar located in the stadium and a "Build Your Own Taco" bar will be available for fans to enjoy. Game time is 6:30 PM.

The homestand concludes on May 6 at 6:30 PM with "Thirsty Thursday" presented by ESPN 850 WKNR. The night will feature a nickel beer Happy Hour for one hour before game time and half price draft beer and soda until 9 PM. Thursday night's are also "Military ID Nights" all season long, presented by Lake County Speedway. Military members, their family and friends will receive $5 box seat tickets with a valid military ID. The Captains will offer a pizza and wing buffet for only $10 on every Thursday night game this season as well, located by the Corona Castaway Bar.

As a reminder, all Eastlake residents may purchase $2 tickets to any Captains home game through May 12. Simply bring proof of residency to the Classic Park box office at the time of purchase to take advantage of this special offer.

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Fans may visit CaptainsBaseball.com for information on alternate routes to and from Classic Park during the current construction that is taking place on Route 91. The Captains are working with the City of Eastlake and ODOT to ensure the smoothest possible traffic flow for fans attending games at Classic Park until the construction is completed.
