With the new season of Minor League Baseball comes new chances for prospects to shine, veterans to show they still have what it takes and fans to come together around America's pastime. At MiLB.com, the new season also means a new homepage and new features across the site to make this an even better destination for Minor League Baseball coverage.

The first thing you might notice about MiLB.com on Opening Day 2012 is the transformed homepage. All the page's elements have a fresh look with new content and an updated presentation of existing features.

New way to find players

The improvements start with the header and don't stop there. MiLB.com's new auto-suggest feature at the upper right of every page allows you to find stats, bios and more on any Minor Leaguer by just typing the first three letters of his first or last name. Fans can also navigate to any team site by typing in the city name or team nickname in the same place.

Improved site navigation

The new site navigation makes it easier for you to find your way to interior sections on MiLB.com, including scores, schedules, tickets and news. Just below the navigation, you'll notice the new scoreboard that enables you to access tickets, real-time Gameday updates as well as MiLB.TV for participating clubs.

Expanded MiLB.TV, video highlights

Speaking of MiLB.TV, live streamed Minor League games straight to your computer are back and better than ever. With a slate of nearly all Triple-A games plus a growing list of teams streaming their entire home schedules, fans will be able to see at least a dozen games -- and usually many more than that -- almost every day. You can access live streams through the MiLB.TV landing page, the homepage scoreboard as well as a new "Live Now" box that will appear on the homepage whenever games in progress.

MiLB.com is also the only place to go for Minor Leagues highlights on the web. Access the top clips at the top of the homepage or go to MiLB.com's video page to watch all highlights and search for exactly what you're looking for.

New interactive contests

Check back soon for the announcement of a new bracket-style contest on MiLB.com in which you can vote for your favorite mascots round by round en route to naming the Minors' top mascot. Moniker Madness, the popular contest in which fans determine the Minor League's best player name, will also be back for its sixth edition this summer.
