NORWICH, CT - The Connecticut Tigers will kick off the home portion of their 2011 schedule as they play host to the defending New York-Penn League Champion Tri-City ValleyCats at Dodd Stadium on Monday, June 20th, with first pitch set for 7:05 p.m.
The opener is part of a three-game home opening series against the ValleyCats, Class-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, with game's two and three on Tuesday and Wednesday night, both a 7:05 p.m. first pitch.
Opening Night will be filled with fun and exciting events both on and off the field. Along with catching your first glimpse of the 2011 Connecticut Tigers, Class-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, fans will be treated to the first of six post-game Atlas PyroVision fireworks shows throughout the summer. All fans in attendance will receive a 2011 Magnet Schedule presented by AT&T Yellow Pages.
