D-Backs sign Jarvis to MiLB contract
Veteran right-hander boasted top ERA in PCL
PHOENIX -- The Diamondbacks added a pitcher on Friday as they signed Kevin Jarvis to a Minor League contract.
The right-hander was with the Cardinals organization in 2005 and appeared in 26 games (25 starts) for Triple-A Memphis, where he was 11-6 with a Pacific Coast League-leading 3.38 ERA.
Jarvis, 36, also made four relief appearances for the Cardinals last year and was 0-1 with a 13.50 ERA.
Over 11 years in the Major Leagues, Jarvis has a 34-47 record with a 5.97 ERA in 178 appearances (114 starts).
