Doomsday Asylum Open Halloween Night

Terrifying Tours at Prince George's Stadium in October
September 17, 2012
UPDATE: The Doomsday Asylum Haunted House at Prince George's Stadium is scheduled to be OPEN for its Final Night on Halloween Night, Wednesday, Oct. 31. BOWIE, Md. - Thousands of people have already come out to experience the Doomsday Asylum Haunted House at Prince George's Stadium. In their 26th year of operation and 11th year partnering with the Bowie Baysox, Tulip Gulch Productions has created another show you can't afford to miss. If you haven't come yet, don't miss your chance to experience the thrill and the fear this Halloween season.

The Baltimore Scare Crew had this to say about the Haunted House: BOWIE BAYSOX, Tulip Gulch productions... WOW! What more can we really say here? We could end our review now... but we won't! This one is located in the Stadium of the Bowie Baysox. Not far from the Baltimore area. Every single year they change their show! EVERY SINGLE YEAR! This place clearly knows how to scare you, with or without actors. It is one of the few places that the BSC had trouble figuring out what was a prop and what was an actor!!! Their use of timing with sounds, animatronics and real live actors was impeccable. They leave a great impression on us, every time we visit. 2012 was no different. This year the theme was an asylum. What we love most about Tulip Gulch (other than the sick props) is that you can be anywhere in line and something will get you. If you're use to those haunts that save the scares for the first and last person in the group, give this place a try. You won't be safe hiding in the middle. We loved Bowie Baysox as usual, and we think you will too! You earned a 9 out of 10!

The Doomsday Asylum is rated PG-13 and parental discretion is highly advised. The show features more than 30 live actors along with props and special effects, and takes approximately 20 minutes to walk through. Tickets for the haunted house are $15 when ordered in advance and $17 when purchased the day of the show. Special rates are available for groups of 10 or more that order tickets in advance. Tickets can be purchased online in advance at www.baysox.com or at the Box Office the night of the show.

Stadium gates open for the haunted house at 6:30 p.m. and tours run from dusk until 11 p.m. The entire show takes place indoors and all shows open rain or shine. The line for the haunted house forms on the concourse level of the stadium. While the concourse is covered and remains dry, fans are encouraged to dress for the weather.

Baysox Marketing Director Brandan Kaiser is excited to scare even more people this year. "This year's haunted house is going to be as terrifying as ever," Kaiser said. "Every year there are a few more tricks that keep people guessing no matter how many times they have gone through before. There is no better place in the region to be scared this Halloween season."
