Doubledays Release 2013 Schedule

Auburn to begin season at home on June 17th

(Auburn, NY)... The Auburn Doubledays announced their 2013 New York - Penn League schedule today and it is highlighted by visits to Falcon Park by the Brooklyn Cyclones and Staten Island Yankees.

The Doubledays will open their 55th season on Monday, June 17th vs. Batavia at The Leo Pinckney Field at Falcon Park at 7:05pm.

Auburn is coming off another successful season that saw them finish with a record of 46-30 and capture their 2nd consecutive Pinckney Division Championship.  The team also produced five NYPL All-Stars in 2012, 1B Shawn Pleffner, IF Wes Schill, C Craig Manuel, OF Wander Ramos, and OF Estarlin Martinez.  The Doubledays season ended at the hands of the Tri-City Valley Cats in the 1st round of the NYPL playoffs. 

As a season ticket holder, fans will have the opportunity to see the Doubledays host nine different opponents in 2013: Batavia, State College, Williamsport, Jamestown, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Aberdeen, Connecticut, and Mahoning Valley. The schedule features seven home games in June, fifteen in July, twelve in August and five in September.  A change from the 2012 season will be that all Saturday home games will start at 6:05pm and all Sunday home games will start at 2:05pm.

The two longest homestands of the season run from Wednesday, July 10th to Monday, July 15th and from Tuesday, August 6th to Sunday, August 11th. These homestands include games against Brooklyn (Mets), Staten Island (Yankees), Aberdeen (Orioles) and Connecticut (Tigers).
