Doubledays release opening day roster!

AUBURN, N.Y. - The Auburn Doubledays announced today the names of the 29 players who will make up their opening day roster. The list includes eight players who spent time in Auburn last season.

Returning to Auburn this season will be pitchers Travis Henke, Silvio Medina, Richie Mirowski, and Blake Monar, catcher Andruth Ramirez, infielders Carlos Alvarez, and Khayyan Norfork, and outfielder Angelberth Montilla. These returning Doubledays will be joined by 11 2012 Nationals draft picks.

Highlighting the group of 2012 Nationals draft picks headed to Auburn this summer are second round pick Tony Renda out of the University of California at Berkley and fourth round pick Brandon Miller from Samford University. In total six of the Nationals first 10 draft picks this year will be in Auburn on opening day, and all 11 picks from this year's draft who are headed to Auburn were selected in the first 20 rounds.

The group of 2011 Nationals draft picks on the opening day roster includes LHP Bryan Harper, who is the older brother of current Nationals OF Bryce Harper. Bryan Harper is one of five left handed pitchers (out of 14) who will be in Auburn to start the season.
