Dr Pepper Ballpark Planner - June 8-11

RoughRiders host San Antonio beginning Wednesday
June 6, 2011
After a six-game road trip, the RoughRiders return home for a critical four-game series with the San Antonio Missions Wednesday through Saturday at Dr Pepper Ballpark.

Not only does the home stand showcase the top two teams in the Texas League, but it features some fireworks, a tennis ball toss and the Purina Incredible Dog Team.

THE HOMESTAND:
Wednesday, June 8: RoughRiders v. Missions - 7:05 p.m.
Thursday, June 9: RoughRiders v. Missions - 7:05 p.m.
Friday, June 10: RoughRiders v. Missions - 7:05 p.m.
Saturday, June 11: RoughRiders v. Missions - 7:05 p.m.

TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE: You can still purchase tickets for all four games of the home stand. For ticket information, call the RoughRiders at (972) 731-9200.

DIVISIONAL SHOWDOWN: After a victorious road trip to Northwest Arkansas and Tulsa, the second-place RoughRiders enter this four-game home stand trailing San Antonio in the Texas League South. Only 14 games remain in the first half, and the 'Riders are in the running to repeat as first-half champions.

So far this season, the RoughRiders are 5-7 against the Missions. Frisco has more victories over San Antonio than any other team in the Texas League. The last time the Missions visited Dr Pepper Ballpark, the 'Riders took three of four.

PURINA INCREDIBLE DOG TEAM: The Purina Incredible Dog team will be in attendance for Thursday's game and will perform during four inning breaks. There will also be a meet and greet time from the middle of the 7th to the middle of the 8th. During that time, fans can take pictures, get pawtographs and even pet the dogs.

FIREWORKS PRESENTED BY MATADOR MEAT & WINE: Fans who attend Friday night's game will be treated to a post-game fireworks show, brought to you by Matador Meat & Wine. The fireworks will be joined by a "Summer Music Theme." As always, the fireworks show is weather and wind permitting.

TENNIS BALL TOSS: Fans can buy tennis balls from the foundation tables behind home plate and at Deuce's Playground during Saturday's game. They can then throw them on the field after the game to win some great prizes, including the grand prize of a VIP RoughRiders Experience valued at $300. A tennis ball costs only $2, or you can buy six for $10.

KEEP AN EYE OUT: Remember, fans can still get a free RoughRiders T-Shirt at your local Kroger by purchasing two gallons of Borden milk. Also, Apple Orthodontix and the RoughRiders are teaming to offer a free Neftali Felix RoughRiders jersey.

BROADCAST COVERAGE: All games are available on 1630 KKGM or at this link. Saturday's game will be broadcast live on TXA 21.
