Drillers Games To Air On AM 1430 In 2009

December 5, 2008
The Tulsa Drillers and Clear Channel Radio announced today that the Drillers 2009 radio broadcasts will again be heard on Sports Radio 1430, The Buzz. It will mark the 24th consecutive season that the Drillers and Clear Channel have partnered on the game broadcasts. It will be the fifth straight season that The Buzz has been the radio home for Drillers Baseball.

"We are pleased to continue our partnership with Clear Channel and The Buzz," said Drillers General Manager Mike Melega. "Our fans again know that they can tune to The Buzz Sports Network to follow the Drillers throughout the season."

The Buzz is a 24-hour sports station that also airs many University of Oklahoma sports broadcasts, the Dan Patrick Show and the Jim Rome Show.

All 140 Drillers regular season games will be aired live. Due to scheduling conflicts with the Rome Show, some weekday afternoon games will be moved to KAKC, AM 1300.

The Drillers are scheduled to begin the 2009 Texas League season in Corpus Christi on Thursday, April 9.

The regular season will conclude on Monday, September 7 with the final game ever at Drillers Stadium. The Drillers are scheduled to move into a new, downtown ballpark in 2010.
