Rockies No. 10 prospect ties career high in roundtrippers

Kyle Parker hit his 23rd homer and drove in three runs to power Tulsa to a 9-3 victory over Frisco. The blast matched a career high for the Rockies' No. 10 prospect, who moved into a tie for third place in the Texas League with teammate Kiel Roling.

Daniel Winkler earned his first Double-A win, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out three over 6 2/3 innings.

Andrew Heaney gave up a run on six hits over 6 2/3 innings to earn his second Double-A victory as Jacksonville shut down Pensacola, 4-1. The Marlins' No. 3 prospect was 5-2 with a 0.88 ERA for Class A Advanced Jupiter before his promotion.

Daniel Pertusati homered, tripled and drove in all four runs for the Suns, while Donald Lutz slugged a solo shot in a losing effort.

Nik Turley gave up a run on five hits with six strikeouts over seven innings to earn his ninth win in Trenton's 5-1 triumph over Akron. The Yankees' No. 17 prospect has allowed one earned run over 24 innings in his last four starts to bring his ERA down to 3.74.

Jose Pirela had two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Thunder, who also got two RBIs from leadoff man Ramon Flores.

Ariel Pena yielded four hits and fanned four in five innings, helping Huntsville blank Chattanooga, 4-0. The Brewers' No. 14 prospect ended a personal five-game losing streak with his first win since May 29.

Jason Rogers doubled twice, walked twice and drove in a run for the Stars.

Garin Cecchini singled three times, walked and scored a run, but Portland squandered a four-run lead in a 6-5 loss to Bowie. The Red Sox's No. 7 prospect raised his batting average to .301 and has reached safely 13 times in his last five games for a .591 on-base percentage.

Garabez Rosa slugged a three-run homer in the Baysox's five-run eighth inning.

Cory Vaughn homered, singled and drove in four runs as Binghamton knocked Erie out of first place with a 6-1 victory. The San Diego State product has 48 RBIs and an .848 OPS in 53 games.

Mark Cohoon limited the SeaWolves to a run on five hits over six innings to win his fourth straight start.

Jack Snodgrass allowed three hits over 5 1/3 scoreless innings to pick up his 10th win as Richmond topped New Hampshire, 5-1. The 25-year-old left-hander has won his last four decisions and six of seven.
