Feliciano Delivers Again, Bulls Win 5-4

DURHAM, NC - For the second time in as many nights, Jesus Feliciano produced the clutch hit that propelled the Durham Bulls to victory. Tonight, Feliciano's 2 run double in the 8th and walk off RBI single in the 10th secured the Bulls' first back-to-back wins since April 9.

Former Big Leaguer Brett Tomko struggled early in his start for the visiting Louisville Bats. The veteran of 10 Major League organizations gave up seven hits and walked five, but the Bulls stranded 14 runners and could only muster two runs off the big righty. Kyle Hudson knocked in the first Bulls run of the night, when he doubled in Shawn O'Malley. The Bulls would grab the lead for the second time in the day on a double once again. After Stephen Vogt singled to break an 0-for-11 slump, Leslie Anderson doubled in the catcher and put the Bulls up 2-0.

The Bats would not go down quietly as they pulled even with the Bulls twice in the game. Down 1-0, leadoff hitter Kristopher Negron hit a leadoff triple in the top of the third inning. He would come home on an RBI groundout by second baseman Chris Valaika. In the top of the sixth inning, down 2-1, DH Danny Dorn hit a homerun that stayed just inside the right field pole. The Bats would take their first lead of the game after Phipps doubled off of Josh Lueke in the 8th inning and came home from a single by Mike Constanzo.

Durham faught back and for the second straight night, Feliciano keyed to the team's victory. With two outs in the bottom of the Bulls eighth, Kyle Hudson beat out an infield single and stole his second base of the game. Bats Manager David Bell yanked Jordan Smith out of the game in favor of Josh Judy, who proceeded to walk Reid Brignac on four pitches. Feliciano promptly doubled to plate Hudson and Brignac, giving the Bulls a temporary lead.

Cesar Ramos entered the game in the 9th to lock things down, a night after saving the Bulls' losing streak halting win on Monday. After not allowing a run in nine appearances since Opening Night, Ramos gave up a 2-out home run to Negron, blowing the save but presenting another big spot for Feliciano. The Bulls center fielder singled through the hole on the left side to score O'Malley in the 10th, winning it for Durham.

The Bulls are back at it on Wednesday morning against the Louisville Bats in a special 11:05am start time. RHP Jim Paduch (0-0, 3.00) will make his DBAP debut against LHP Jeff Francis (2-2, 3.30). #BULLS#
