Fireworks Slate Announced

The Friday Night Fireworks series returns as part of a franchise-record 19 fireworks shows scheduled for the 2012 season at Coca-Cola Park, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs announced on Wednesday. Six of the extravaganzas - including the return of 3-D fireworks - are set to take place over an eight-day window centered on the Independence Day holiday.

"Our fans consistently ask for more and more fireworks shows and this fireworks lineup truly delivers," exclaimed IronPigs General Manager Kurt Landes. "Each fireworks show is entirely unique and offers a memorable and new experience for fans each and every time."

The 2012 season begins on Thursday, April 5, against the rival Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees and the very first Friday Night Fireworks show of the season is marked for the very next night. The first Friday Night Fireworks show of the season on April 6 kicks off a series of 14 Friday Night Fireworks extravaganzas that will follow each and every Friday home game at Coca-Cola Park in 2012.

The IronPigs will celebrate Independence Day with an unprecedented six fireworks events, including back-to-back-to-back-to-back fireworks displays and a 3-D fireworks celebration on July 4. Other shows centered around the holiday are tabbed for Friday, June 29 and Friday, July 6.

The IronPigs will announce the remainder of their preliminary promotional schedule, including giveaways, on Thursday, January 5. All promotional dates, including fireworks shows, are subject to change.

Regular starting times remain identical with 2011 as Saturday starting times remain at 6:35 p.m. Monday through Friday games remain predominately scheduled for 7:05 p.m. The only exceptions are for Education Day #1 on April 25 (10:35 a.m.), Education Day #2 on May 2 (10:35 a.m.), Education Day #3 on May 22 (10:35 a.m.) and Camp Day on July 23 (11:35 a.m.). Sunday games are scheduled for 1:35 p.m. through June 17, 6:35 p.m. for July 1 and 5:35 p.m. from July 22 until the end of the regular season with the exception of August 26 (1:35 p.m.).

Single-game tickets for the 2012 season go on sale during the club's annual National Pig Day festivities at Coca-Cola Park on Saturday, March 3. Single-game tickets can also be purchased at ironpigsbaseball.com or by calling (610) 841-PIGS (7447) beginning on March 3.

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are dedicated to providing family-friendly entertainment and are the only Minor League team to offer bubbles to fans entering the AT&T Plaza and balloons for all children exiting Coca-Cola Park.
