LAKEWOOD, NJ - Baseball is for Everyone! The BlueClaws will host their first Pride Night at FirstEnergy Park on Saturday, June 8th. Gates open at 6:00 pm with first pitch at 7:05 pm.
The first 1,500 fans will receive a BlueClaws Pride Night cap thanks to Coca Cola and after the game, fans can enjoy post-game fireworks.
"The BlueClaws consider themselves an open and inclusive organization and member of the community," said BlueClaws Team President Joe Ricciutti. "We want to show the LGBT community that they are welcome at BlueClaws games, and always will be welcome at BlueClaws games."
The event will also feature participation from local LGBT-friendly businesses and organizations. The You Can Play Project, who works to ensure safety and inclusion in all sports, will have a presence at the game as well.
Pro wrestler Anthony Bowens, who identifies as gay, will be on hand to throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
Drive - 80's Tribute Band will play live in the BlueClaws Biergarten from 6:30 pm until 9:00 pm as part of the Founders Brewing Summer Concert Series. There will be drink specials in the Biergarten throughout the night as well.
Additional Pride Night merchandise will be available in the Claws Cove as well.
"BlueClaws games are about spending time with your family, friends and colleagues, laughing, having a great time and experiencing something collectively as a group, and that's a universal concept," said BlueClaws team president Joe Ricciutti. "That concept doesn't know race, it doesn't know ethnicity, it doesn't know sexual orientation, it doesn't know economic status. It's a universal theme, and it's nice to be able to celebrate that."

The BlueClaws are the Jersey Shore's top stop for affordable, family entertainment. Last year, the team opened a brand-new nine-hold family mini golf course, the Toyota World of Lakewood Home Run Pavilion featuring top boardwalk games, and a Biergarten.
