Gamboa befuddles with his knuckles
Right-hander Eddie Gamboa came into the season with 62 career appearances, including 33 starts, with the Double-A Bowie Baysox. This March, in an effort to finally move beyond the Eastern League, Gamboa took up throwing a knuckleball with the help of Hall of Famer Phil Niekro.
And it looks like Gamboa might be onto something. In his season debut Sunday, the 28-year-old had one of his best career outing with six no-hit innings in Bowie's 5-4 loss to Harrisburg. The right-hander allowed one unearned run on a wild pitch in the first inning. He struck out four while walking two.
An RBI double by Bowie's Zelous Wheeler highlighted a three-run sixth inning. Harrisburg came back with three runs in the ninth, with the tying run coming on a double by Jose Lozada.
Sean Nicol's walk-off single in the 11th gave the Senators the win.

Chattanooga split its double-header with Huntsville amid a big day from Los Angeles' No. 3 prospect Joc Pederson. The left fielder homered, doubled, drove in three and scored twice in the Lookouts' 8-0 win in the opener and followed with another homer in the 3-1 loss in the nightcap.
The Dodgers' top prospect Yasiel Puig went 2-for-3 with two RBIs in Chattanooga's win. Huntsville's Andy Moye picked up the win after allowing one earned run on one hit and a walk with four strikeouts in six innings.

For the second time in three games, Jackson's Brad Miller and Julio Morban each turned in three-hit games as the Generals defeated the Jacksonville Suns, 10-0. Miller, Seattle's No. 8 prospect, went 3-for-4 with a homer, two runs and an RBI, while No. 14 Morban went 3-for-5 with a homer, three RBIs and two runs.
Chance Ruffin, a 2010 first-round pick, earned the win with after allowing two hits over six scoreless innings.

Cleveland's No. 12 prospect Jesus Aguilar drove in five during a 3-for-5 performance as Akron dominated Binghamton, 13-3. The right-handed first baseman homered Saturday as well and has seven RBIs over his last two games.
Jose Ramirez added a 3-for-4 line with four runs scored while Chun-Hsiu Chen went 2-for-3 with a double, three runs scored and an RBI.

Alex Meyer, rated No. 40 on MLB.com's Top 100 prospects, allowed one earned run on six hits while striking out eight batters over five frames in New Britain's 3-2 loss to Richmond in 11 innings. Meyer didn't factor into the decision.
The Flying Squirrels earned the walk-off victory when Adam Duvall scored on a wild pitch in the 11th.
