Game-worn jersey auctions open June 17

Wings, Twins fans worldwide can bid

The Red Wings and GoBuyRochester.com have partnered to make this season's game-worn specialty jerseys available to Wings and Twins fans all over the world by auction, beginning with this weekend's triple play of custom jerseys.

* On Friday, June 17, the Wings will wear throwback Minnesota Twins blue jerseys as part of The Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired's "See Great Things Night" at Frontier Field. Game time is 7:05 p.m. EDT.

* On Saturday, June 18, the Wings will wear futuristic jerseys on Star Wars Night - with auction proceeds benefitting the Hillside Family of Agencies. Game time is 7:05 p.m. EDT.

* On Sunday, June 19, Father's Day - the team will wear mens' health blue jerseys, with auction proceeds raising funds for the Lipson Cancer Center at Rochester General Hospital and ZERO: The Project to End Prostate Cancer. Game time is 1:05 p.m. EDT.

For the first time, fans both in the ballpark on game day, and anywhere in the world with internet access, can bid on these game-worn Wings jerseys. Each auction begins after the first pitch, and continues until 8:00 p.m. five days following each game event.
