Giants CMO Juliana Paoli Receives Cal League Award

SAN JOSE, CA- San Jose Giants Chief Marketing Officer Juliana Paoli has been named the winner of the California League Woman of Excellence Award as was announced today by league president Charlie Blaney. Paoli won the inaugural award by a vote of her peers in the California League. By virtue of claiming this prestigious honor, she is the California League's nominee for the Rawlings Woman of the Year, which will be presented at the Winter Meetings in December.

"Juliana is a dedicated and hard working member of the San Jose Giants' staff as she oversees all aspects of the team's very successful marketing program," said Blaney. "She is a worthy recipient of the Cal League's Woman of Excellence Award."

Paoli has spent the last five seasons developing and implementing an integrated marketing campaign that has resulted in revenue breaking records in every budget category. She serves as the leader of several departments with the San Jose Giants including marketing, public relations, advertising, merchandising and promotions.

"Juliana provides the necessary leadership and day-to-day management of our advertising, public relations and game day fan experience and is responsible for delivering an outstanding show that has touched the hearts of thousands of fans," said Jim Weyermann, San Jose Giants President and CEO. "Without her contributions, the San Jose Giants could not have achieved the outstanding success of the past five seasons."

Paoli brings over ten years of extensive experience in event production, management, marketing and public relations to the San Jose Giants executive team. Additionally, the 2009 San Jose Giants were honored as the John H. Johnson President's Trophy and Baseball America's Bob Freitas Award winners under Paoli's leadership. Juliana has continued to give back to Minor League Baseball by serving on the PBEO Steering Committee and speaking at the Business of Baseball workshops at the Baseball Winter Meetings.
