Going Green Day

The Aberdeen IronBirds will be holding their second annual Going Green Day on Sunday July 19th at 2:35pm. Be sure to take note of the special 2:35pm start time at Ripken Stadium as the IronBirds will conserve energy by playing the game without the lights.

The IronBirds will be bringing back the extremely popular All-You-Can-Drink Root Beer Floats for $5!

Once again the proceeds from the Root Beer Floats will benefit a local Green Initiative.

Be sure to bring your old cell phones to the game as the IronBirds have teamed up with Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center, Inc. (SARC) to hold a cell phone drive.

Everyone that donates a cell phone or brings a bag of recyclable aluminum cans will receive a FREE IronBirds Hat.

Thirty one years ago, with the help of a group of dedicated volunteers, the Sexual Assault/Spouse Abuse Resource Center, Inc. (SARC) started a simple helpline, to provide a voice on the other end of the line, when the 15 seconds came.

Last year alone, SARC provided services to more than 2500 individuals. With the help and support of our community, we will continue until our mission is a reality.
