The schedule of theme and special group nights for the 2008 State College Spikes season will not only 'wow' fans, but will also help the community!

Throughout the 2008 season the Spikes will feature 25 different fun and crazy theme nights ranging from the Going Green Environmental series to "Salute to the Mustache Night!"

Scattered throughout the 2008 home schedule, the Spikes will host special group nights for special interest and charity groups including Girl Scout Night (June 19), Youth Group Night (June 22), Senior Citizen Night (June 29), Attorney Night (July 10), Law Enforcement Night (July 25), Firefighter Appreciation Night (August 12), and EMS Appreciation Night (August 21) to name just a few.

Continued from last year, the Spikes will also feature communities throughout the Center County area with their own special group nights. Communities participating in 2008 include Mifflin and Juniata (July 11), Huntingdon (July 25), Bellefonte (July 26) and Philipsburg (July 27).

With Medlar Field at Lubrano Park being the first LEED certified baseball stadium in the country, it is fitting the club will host a series of three "Going Green Environmental Nights." The three Going Green Environmental Nights will fall on July 18, August 12 and September 3.
