Grizzlies First In PCL To Reach 5,000 Twitter Followers

Organization Offers Special Ticket Deal To Social Media Followers
January 10, 2011
FRESNO, CA - The Fresno Grizzlies announced today that they eclipsed 5,000 followers on the organization's official Twitter account last week. The Grizzlies, who have been on the cutting edge of social media and networking trends, are the first team in the Pacific Coast League to reach the milestone number.

As part of the landmark, the organization is offering a special ticket deal exclusively for their Twitter followers. The package includes a Field Box seat for all four games of opening weekend, Thursday through Sunday, as well as a number of special perks. In addition to the tickets, fans will also get a pregame, behind-the-scenes tour of the ballpark on Friday, a pregame catch on the field on Saturday, and a post-game photo in the dugout on Sunday all for just $40. The tickets alone are a $64 value, and the special ballpark experiences are available only through this ticket package.

Twitter followers can call the Grizzlies Box Office at 559-320-HITS (4487) any time between now and Opening Day and supply their username to receive the special deal.

The Grizzlies have been active in social media platforms including both Facebook and Twitter and have connected with the bourgeoning new media and blogging community in Fresno. The front office took on a team of local bloggers in a friendly softball game on the field at Chukchansi Park back in December.

The Fresno Grizzlies begin the official part of their 10th Pacific Coast League season at Chukchansi Park on Thursday, April 7th, 2011 when they welcome the Las Vegas 51s to downtown Fresno. Season ticket and mini-plan packages are now available at the Chukchansi Park Box Office or by calling 559-320-HITS.
