Ha selected to play in MLB Futures Game

Ha to participate in July 8th game that features top Minor League prospects in Kansas City

KODAK, Tenn. - Tennessee Smokies outfielder and Chicago Cubs prospect Jae-Hoon Ha has been selected to play for the World Team in the 14th annual SiriusXM All-Star Futures Game to played on July 8th at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City as part of the Major League Baseball All-Star Weekend.

Major League Baseball, in conjunction with the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau, MLB.com, Baseball America and the 30 Major League Club, selected the 25-man rosters for each club, the U.S. Team and the World Team. Each Major League organization is represented and players from all full-season Minor Leagues were eligible to participate.

Ha, 21, will be the only player from the Cubs organization to participate in the 2012 Futures Game. He is batting .256 (66 H/258 AB) with 16 double, one triple, two home runs and 20 RBIs in 66 games with Tennessee this season. Ha is tied for the team lead with 37 runs scored, and second with 66 hits and 16 doubles. The Jin Ju City, South Korea native was signed by the Cubs as a non-drafted free agent in 2009.
