Cincinnati Reds speedster Billy Hamilton, MLB.com's No. 14 prospect, ripped a sixth-inning bases-clearing triple to help the Javelinas become the first Arizona Fall League club this season to 10 wins. Padres first-rounder Cory Spangenberg and first baseman Vinnie Catricala (Mariners) each collected two hits in the victory, while Reds outfielder Donald Lutz scored twice out of the cleanup spot. Starting pitcher Robbie Erlin (Padres) allowed a run on one hit and two walks over three innings, but he did not factor in the decision. Salt River left fielder Kevin Pillar (Blue Jays) continued to make the most of his taxi squad opportunities, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored to raise his average to .429. Tampa Bay first-rounder Tim Beckham went 4-for-5 with four RBIs and two runs scored, falling a homer shy of hitting for the cycle, as the Desert Dogs routed the Saguaros. Every Phoenix starter had at least one hit and one run scored, and the team pounded out a collective 22 hits. Leadoff hitter Josh Prince (Brewers) was 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI, Braves catcher Cory Brownsten plated three runs and Miami's 2010 second-round pick Yordy Cabrera was 3-for-6 with two runs scored. Brewers right-hander Nick Bucci improved to 2-0, yielding one run on five hits and a walk while striking out six batters over four innings. Puerto Rico native Andres Santiago, selected by the Dodgers in the 16th round of the 2007 Draft, allowed one hit over five shutout innings, but the Solar Sox were unable to hold off the Scorpions' late rally on Wednesday. Rafael Ynoa (Dodgers) was 2-for-5 with an RBI triple for Mesa, and shortstop Jiovanni Mier -- a first-round pick of the Astros in 2009 -- doubled twice.
