Heathcott, Trenton trump Richmond

Yankees' No. 4 prospect Slade Heathcott had three hits and three RBIs as Trenton handed Richmond a 7-3 loss. Heathcott extended his hitting streak to seven games. JR Murphy added two hits, three runs and an RBI and Mikey O'Brien improved to 3-0 by allowing three runs -- two earned -- on three hits over seven innings.

The Thunder chased Flying Squirrels starter Omar Javier after 1 2/3 innings. Trenton stole five bases, including two by Jose Pirela and one by No. 3 prospect Tyler Austin.

Logan Verrett struck out 10 and Allen Dykstra homered and plated four as Binghamton bested New Britain, 6-3. Verrett allowed three runs on nine hits without walking a batter over six innings. It was Dykstra's third homer of the season.

Cesar Puello collected three hits -- including two doubles -- with two runs and an RBI, and Josh Rodriguez added a double, two runs and an RBI for the Mets. For the Rock Cats, Deibinson Romero finished a triple shy of the cycle with an RBI and a run.

In the opener of a doubleheader, Tennessee's Arismendy Alcantara had three hits, including two doubles, with two RBIs and two runs in a 9-2 victory over Chattanooga. Chicago's No. 10 prospect, Matt Szczur, added a double and two RBIs and Alberto Cabrera (4-1) tossed a complete game, allowing five hits with six strikeouts.

In the second game, Rob Rasmussen allowed four hits and struck out five over five innings and Luis Vasquez (2-2) earned the win with two one-hit innings as the Lookouts blanked the Smokies, 1-0. That duo outworked Eric Jokisch, who allowed three hits and struck out five over six scoreless frames, and Marcus Hatle (1-2) who conceded the winning run in the bottom of the seventh when Blake Smith  scored on a wild pitch, Hatle's second of the inning.

Seth Rosin (2-3) struck out eight and allowed two runs on three hits over eight innings as Reading beat Altoona, 6-3. Rosin bested Stolmy Pimentel (2-2), who allowed five earned runs on eight hits over seven innings.

Jim Murphy and Cameron Rupp each homered and had two hits and two RBIs for the Fightin Phils. Edgar Duran also went yard for Reading. For Altoona, Adalberto Santos and Jarek Cunningham both belted round-trippers.

Andy Moye (2-5) allowed five hits and struck out two over eight scoreless innings as Huntsvile defeated Montgomery, 3-0. Casey Medlen followed with a perfect ninth inning for his seventh save of the season. Left fielder Kentrail Davis was 3-for-4 and Rene Tosoni plated threee runs.

Tampa Bay's No. 6 prospect Enny Romero allowed four hits and struck out six while posting six scoreless innings for the Biscuits.
