Salisbury, Md. - The annual Delmarva Shorebirds Hot Stove Banquet will be held on January 28, 2012 at a new location, the Delmar VFW. The event will feature a roundtable discussion about the Orioles and their affiliates plus dinner and a silent auction to benefit the United Way of the Lower Eastern Shore.

The roundtable discussion will feature your favorite Orioles beat writers from MASNsports.com. Topics will range from Orioles off season signings to minor league prospects. Fans will have the chance to ask questions and interact with the panelists.

Shorebirds manager Ryan Minor is a confirmed guest for the hot stove. Minor has guided the Shorebirds each of the last three seasons. He also played for the Shorebirds in 1997 and was a South Atlantic League All-Star.

Former Shorebirds skipper Gary Kendall (2005-2007) is scheduled to attend. Kendall managed the Double-A Bowie BaySox in 2011. He won 204 games as manager of the Shorebirds, second most in the history of the club.

Other speakers will include; Shorebirds general manager Chris Bitters and 7th Inning Stretch, LP president Pat Filipone.

The Delmar VFW is located at 200 West State Street in Delmar, Delaware.

The event will begin with a cocktail hour from 5pm-6pm. The program and dinner will start promptly at 6pm.

Tickets are just $25 per person.
