Incredible Egg Night - Tuesday, August 4

August 3, 2009
The Harrisburg Senators are holding an Incredible Egg Night on Tuesday, August 4 sponsored by Pennsylvania's Egg Farmers. Incredible Egg Night was originally scheduled for May 4, but that game was postponed due to rain. The highlight of the evening will be an old-fashioned egg toss to be held on the field after the game. The first twelve teams-of-two egg tossers to sign up before and during the game at the Freysinger Guest Services Booth will compete on the field after the game.

The American Egg Board is the U.S. egg producer's link to consumers and promotes the value of the incredible egg. Their goal is to increase demand for egg and egg products on behalf of U.S. egg producers. The United States produces about 75 billion eggs a year, which is about 10% of the world supply. Senior National Representative for the American Egg Board, Howard Helmer, holds three Guinness World Records for omelet making - fastest omelet-maker (427 omelets in 30 minutes); fastest single omelet (42 seconds from whole egg to omelet); and omelet flipping (30 flips in 34 seconds).

Egg promotional items will be tossed into the crowd during the game. Gates open at 6pm for the 7pm game against the Binghamton Mets. Tuesday night is also Baseball Bingo night at Metro Bank Park.

Tickets for Tuesday's game, or any remaining game this season, are available online at senatorsbaseball.com or by calling 231-4444. Tickets are also available at the new Little Red Box Office built by Home in Hand located across from the stables on the Walnut Street Bridge landing.
