JetHawks walk off with Game 2 win

Negron's 10th-inning homer ties semifinal series at 1-1

Kris Negron slugged a walk-off three-run homer in the 10th inning Sunday to give the Lancaster JetHawks a 9-6 victory over the Lake Elsinore Storm in Game 3 of their California League semifinal series.

Negron's homer off Wilton Lopez tied the best-of-5 series at 1-1 after Yamaico Navarro's RBI single in the ninth forced extra innings.

Jason Blackey (1-0) tossed a scoreless 10th for the win. JetHawks starter Chris Province allowed three runs on six hits over five innings.

Lancaster took a 5-0 lead in the first when Jon Still hit a three-run homer, Luis Exposito scored on an error and Reid Engel slapped an RBI double.

Lake Elsinore methodically chipped away before tying the game in the ninth on Keoni Ruth's RBI double and Cedric Hunter's run-scoring single.

Brian Joynt and Anthony Contreras homered for the Storm, who took Saturday's series opener, 12-6.

Lopez (0-1) allowed four runs -- one earned -- on four hits over 1 2/3 innings. Lake Elsinore starter Drew Miller recorded just one out and was charged with five runs -- four earned -- on six hits. Box score

In other Cal League action:

Stockton Ports 7, San Jose Giants 6
Chris Carter hit a game-tying two-run triple and Josh Donaldson singled him home as the Ports knotted their series at 1-1. Donaldson went 3-for-4 with a homer, while Carter plated three runs for Stockton.

Kevin Pucetas allowed one run over six innings and Brad Boyer homered for the Giants. Box score
