- The Arkansas Travelers filled an open slot on Thursday June 24, adding left-handed pitcher Trevor Reckling to their roster. Reckling comes to the Travs from the triple-A Salt Lake Bees.
Reckling, 21, was drafted in 2007 by the Angels with a 7th round selection. The Newark, New Jersey, native was one of the top performing pitchers for the Travs in 2009 finishing 8-7 with a 2.93 ERA, the fifth-lowest in the Texas League. He pitched in the 2009 All Star Futures Game and was named an end of season Texas League All Star.
Reckling began the 2010 season in the starting rotation at Salt Lake pitching in 14 games with a 4-7 record and 8.53 ERA. Reckling will join the Travs today, and is scheduled to pitch on Sunday June 27.
