GRAND CHUTE, WI - The Wisconsin Timber Rattlers are looking for talented people to sing "The Star Spangled Banner" and to be members of their on-field entertainment team for the fast-approaching season.

The Rattlers will be holding tryouts for National Anthem singers for the 2011 season on Saturday, March 5 at Time Warner Cable Field from 10am until 3pm.  All individuals and groups who are interested in singing the national anthem for a 2011 Timber Rattlers home game can audition on this date to secure a spot for the upcoming season. All individuals/groups that have performed at the stadium in the past do not need to audition.

Anthem tryouts are available on a first-come, first-served basis during the designated time period. This will be the only audition date prior to the 2011 season. All interested parties will be required to sing a live version of the anthem during the tryout.

Please contact Dayna Baitinger, Community Relations Manager, at (920)733-4152 ext. 260 or [email protected] with any questions.

The Rattlers are also in search of energetic, outgoing and enthusiastic individuals to be part of their 2011 on-field entertainment team!  Team members must love performing in front of crowds, be comfortable interacting with fans of all ages and possess the desire to have fun and excite fans.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome fans at the main entrance while distributing giveaways.

  • Execute all in-game between-inning and situational promotions.

  • Select and direct on-field participants.

  • Set up and tear down promotional props as needed.

  • Enthusiastically entertain Wisconsin Timber Rattler fans!

One of the openings on the entertainment team is for an on field emcee for the 2011 Timber Rattlers season.  The on-field emcee is responsible for executing all in-game promotions during each inning break.  The emcee must possess a great speaking voice, love performing in front of large crowds and be comfortable interacting with fans of all ages along with being energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic.  Additionally, the emcee is responsible for memorizing scripts with the capacity to improvise on a nightly basis.  Most importantly, the emcee must love to have fun and be able to excite thousands of fans.  Previous live audience experience is desired.  An audition will be required.

Individuals interested in joining the on-field entertainment team or trying out for on-field emcee should apply online at www.timberrattlers.com.  Candidates are required to complete a game day staff application and submit a cover letter describing what makes you interested in and qualified for a spot on the entertainment team.  Please submit completed application to Angie Ceranski at [email protected] by February 23, 2011.  Selected candidates will be contacted and asked to participate in an on-site interview Saturday, March 5, between 10am and 4pm.
