Manatees reveal front office staff

Lovitt, Wheeler, Longobardo, Soto will have new roles in 2013

VIERA, Fla. -- The Brevard County Manatees and general manager Kyle Smith announced on Tuesday their front office staff for the 2013 season, which will be the 20th season of Manatees baseball.

Chad Lovitt is entering his third season with Brevard County and his first as the team's assistant general manager. Lovitt is from Homestead, Fla., and graduated from Florida State University.

Kelley Wheeler will be returning for her eighth year with the franchise and her first as the organization's director of business operations and finance. Wheeler is originally from Annapolis, Md., and graduated from Loyola University Maryland.

Frank Longobardo will be back for his fourth season with the 'Tees and his first as Brevard County's director of ticketing and media. Longobardo hails from Port St. John, Fla., and is a graduate of Florida State University.

Kevin Soto is back for his second season with the Manatees and his first as the team's director of promotions and community relations. Soto is from Orlando, Fla., and graduated from the University of Central Florida.

"This staff not only has the intellect and work ethic to be successful, but they have a high level of character that we want in this organization," Smith said. "All four of these people bring a different set of skills and strengths that will take this franchise into its 20th season and beyond."
