Matt Sulentic Joins The RockHounds

By Greg Bergman / Midland RockHounds | April 21, 2009 9:36 AM ET

Matt Sulentic will join the RockHounds starting lineup today as Corey Brown was moved to the disabled list. Sulentic is coming in from extended spring training in Arizona.

The former 3rd round pick from Dallas is in his fourth season and spent all of last year in Single-A Stockton, where he hit .309 for the Ports (ranked 8th in batting average among all California league hitters).

The RockHounds will put the final touches on the opening homestand on Tuesday night at 6:30. A win will give the 'Hounds a 4-2 record over the six game stretch and will secure first place in the Southern Division before traveling to San Antonio on Thursday.
