Mavs' stadium renamed Heritage Field

ADELANTO, Calif. -- The High Desert Mavericks, Advanced A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, today announced a long-term partnership with Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group that includes the naming rights to the Mavericks' home field. The ballpark shall be known as Heritage Field at Stater Bros. Stadium for all Mavericks home games and all team-sponsored events.

Heritage Field will be open for all 70 home games of the Mavericks in addition to several non-baseball events at the ballpark, including potential concerts, MMA & boxing special events, wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners, bar/bat mitzvahs, banquets and corporate meetings.

"We are so excited to be partnering with our friends at Heritage Victor Valley Medical Group, since they are known throughout the High Desert as a leader in promoting wellness and healthy living," said Mavericks co-owner Dave Heller. "This deal is going to be a lot more than just putting a name on a building. We are committed to working with Heritage Medical to promote healthier living and a healthier High Desert, and much of that work will take place at Heritage Field."

Heritage Field at Stater Bros. Stadium is a city-owned facility built in 1990 at a cost of $6.5 million. The stadium currently boasts 3,808 fixed seats, 72 premium outdoor suites, two indoor air-conditioned suites, and a 250-capacity conference center, along with a 150-capacity BBQ patio and two berm areas which can accommodate hundreds more.

As part of the sponsorship, the Heritage Victor Valley Group also becomes the official medical care provider of the High Desert Mavericks. Their mission is simple: to provide high quality, compassionate, well-coordinated medical care to the High Desert community, and to continue to earn the loyalty and respect of their patients.

The City of Adelanto gave the team the right to sell naming rights to the playing field when the team and the City renegotiated and extended their lease in 2012.
