Rangers prospect Chris McGuiness went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and an RBI double, leading the Saguaros past the Javelinas. Red Sox outfielder Bryce Brentz, MLB.com's No. 70 overall prospect, and Midwest League All-Star Colin Walsh (Cardinals) each plated two runs in the victory. Nationals' No. 12 prospect Matthew Skole homered, doubled, plated three runs and fell a triple shy of the cycle as the Rafters beat the Solar Sox for the second day in a row. Matt Davidson, the D-backs' No. 4 prospect, also went yard and collected four RBIs for Salt River. Brian Goodwin (Nationals) and Midwest League MVP Kevin Pillar (Blue Jays) homered in the win. Angels catching prospect Carlos Ramirez delivered a walk-off single in the 11th inning as the Scorpions rallied past the Desert Dogs. Pirates DH Matt Curry was 2-for-5 with a double and two RBIs for Scottsdale. Zeke Spruill, the Braves' No. 6 prospect and a 2008 second-round pick, got the start for Phoenix and allowed an unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out three over 2 1/3 innings.
