Mike McDade Has Four Hits In Fisher Cats Win

(Manchester, NH)---Mike McDade went 4-for-4 and drove in a run and B. J. LaMura blanked Trenton over six innings as the Fisher Cats defeated Trenton 4-1 on Saturday afternoon at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium. 

LaMura (1-0) allowed two hits, walked one, and struck out eight in earning the win.  Evan Crawford worked two scoreless innings in relief.  Alan Farina came on to get the final out and earn his first save of the season.

New Hampshire (2-1) scored a run in the bottom of the third inning with three consecutive two-out hits.  McDade and Yan Gomes singled and Adam Calderone doubled to left field to put the Fisher Cats up 1-0. 

The Fisher Cats extended the lead in the bottom of the seventh inning.  Jonathan Diaz walked and scored on a double by Adeiny Hechavarria.  McDade followed with his fourth hit, an RBI single plating Hechavarria to make it 3-0.

New Hampshire scored its final run in the eighth inning.  Craig Stansberry (2-for-4) singled, stole second and advanced to third when the throw went into centerfield.  He scored on a ground out by Ricardo Nanita. 

Trenton (1-2) mounted a threat in the ninth inning, loading the bases without a hit against Bobby Korecky, who left with an apparent injury.  After Farina walked Ray Kruml with the bases loaded to make it 4-1, then got Yadil Mujica to fly out to end the game.

Thunder starter Graham Stoneburner took the loss.  Stoneburner (0-1) allowed one run on nine hits in his five innings.  He walked one and struck out one in his Eastern League debut.  

The series with Trenton (Yankees Double-A) concludes on Sunday afternoon at 1:35pm. The Fisher Cats will start southpaw Willie Collazo against Trenton RHP Dellin Betances.
