MiLB to wear 'Stars & Stripes' caps

Special caps to be worn by 106 teams throughout weekend

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A total of 108 Minor League Baseball™ (MiLB™) clubs will wear specialty New Era Cap Company "Stars & Stripes" caps throughout the Independence Day holiday weekend. The caps will feature a navy bill and a gray crown with the participating club's logo featuring stars and/or stripes in red, white and blue.

The 106 clubs and Major League Baseball Properties Inc., Minor League Baseball's licensing agent, have agreed to donate all royalties from the sales of these caps to Welcome Back Veterans, a program which addresses the needs of returning American Veterans and their families. New Era Cap Company is donating a portion of the sales to Welcome Back Veterans.

This is the fourth consecutive year that MiLB clubs have taken part in the "Stars & Stripes" cap program. The caps will be available for purchase in the stadiums of participating clubs, as well as on some clubs' websites.
